Immunity - is the body's resistance to a disease-causing agent (pathogen).

Innate Immunity - is the defense system acquired at birth and acts in the first fight against disease-causing agents. It is formed by physical, chemical and biological blocks.

Acquired or Adaptive Immunity - is the immunity built during life, consisting of information stored by the immune system after the first contacts with invaders of the body.

Immunity is proportional to health, that is, the higher the body's line of defense, the better the physical and psychological conditions.

When Jesus Christ justified that man's contamination is not by what goes into the mouth, but by what comes out, He was fully aware of the importance of the immune system: “Do you not yet understand that whatever goes into the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated?” (Matthew 15:17).

There is nothing you can do about innate immunity, but you can work on and greatly improve your adaptive immunity:

1st) Avoid medications whenever possible.

When an antibiotic is consumed, it does not specifically combat the cause of the disease but also destroys a series of organisms that perform vital functions for the functioning of the immune system, in addition to damaging the liver.

2nd) Eat fruits, vegetables, and greens.

These foods contain fiber, which is extremely important for good digestion and absorption of nutrients that strengthen the immune system.

3rd) Do not drink during meals.

Any liquid taken with food will hinder digestion, causing its metabolization to take longer than normal. The longer it takes for food to be evacuated, the greater the chance that it will cause harm to the body.

4th) Eat minimally processed foods.

Ultra-processed products are absorbed more quickly in the gastrointestinal tract and, unlike foods rich in fiber, do not travel through the entire digestive system, especially the large intestine. Bacteria that do not receive micronutrients from food become hungry and turn the microbiome into a battlefield, attacking each other and even those responsible for maintaining immunity.

5th) Get some sun.

Vitamin D is responsible for the absorption of calcium, magnesium and phosphate, in addition to regulating the immune system. Getting sun every day ensures the necessary amount of the vitamin in the body.

6th) Sleep 8 hours a day and always at night.

Since man emerged thousands of years ago, he has always carried out his activities during the day and slept at night. Therefore, due to the genetic dependence of his ancestors, it is essential to rest at night, when all the metabolic processes of the body are finished and restarted, including those involving immunity.

7th) Practice physical activity.

Any sport helps the blood circulate more easily through the body, ensuring the constant supply of nutrients necessary for the immune system.

8th) Reduce sugar consumption.

Sugar is a source of energy for all forms of life (including bacteria, fungi and viruses), both those that help the immune system and those that harm it.

9th) Feed your spirit.

Just like your body, your spirit also needs to be fed. Regardless of your religion, practice love, solidarity, forgiveness and tolerance. And, above all, seek God... "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you" (Matthew 7:7). A strengthened spirit undoubtedly increases your immunity.

10th) Relax.

Usually, in moments of stress and anger, your immunity reaches its lowest levels and allows for the occurrence of damage, almost always irreversible, to your health, such as strokes and heart attacks.
Relaxing is taking the opportunity to do, exclusively, what you like and, more importantly, with those you love... Enjoy your family, friends and celebrate life!

GOD BLESS US!
